The Digital Christian Library is a site dedicated to bringing public domain works onto the Internet for people to read and purchase. Started in November of 2001, with the gift of a scanner, The DCL has slowly grown in size over the years. Many of the books located on this website are unique, and have appeared here online for the first time.
Reflections on the Last Six Years.
English Bible Translations. There have been hundreds of different translations of the Bible into the English language over the last few hundred years. Few of them have achieved the status of the King James or New International Version, and most of them have been forgotten. I have slowly been collecting different translations, and posting them as I scan them off. Go here for my research on which translations have lapsed into the public domain. You can get a CD-ROM with more Bible translation scans at the online store.
Eschatology. This is an interesting area of study, as there is no accepted standard theology of eschatology for the ancient or modern Church. As a result, there is a wide variety of interpretations that fit into orthodox Christianity.
Heresy. There have been plenty of heterodox movements in the early Church, many of them have sprung up again in modern times. The writer of Ecclesiastes was correct when he said there was nothing new under the sun.
Ancient and Medieval History. The Christian Church has a rich heritage that many have ignored in modern times. The Church is a very ancient and complex institution that has spread across many cultures and time periods.
Pentecostal Movement. This recent movement will be debated by Christians for a long time to come. Some see it as an outright heresy, others see as a renewal by God. As the Pentecostal movement and several related movements are firmly entranced in the Christian culture, it would be prudent to study up on both sides of the issue.
Dispensationalism. Another recent movement in the Church, in a little over a century and a half, it has become the prevalent view in many Christian circles. Popularized by the Scofield Reference Bible in the early twentieth century, and by Dallas Theological Seminary in the later half of the twentieth century. Starting the twenty-first century, Dispensationalism theology is still very active.
Angelology. One of the ten major branches of theology, this one has been neglected in modern times. With the recent interest in angels in our culture as a result of the New Age influence, it would be good for Christians to give informed answers to people interested in angels.
Marriage and Courtship. Our western culture has undergone many shifts in the last fifty to one hundred years. Marriage has not gone on as an institution with out coming under attack. People are delaying marriage longer, and even when they do get married, the is a fifty percent chance that they will get divorced. Something is wrong and it must be changed.

Book Reviews: An evaluation of books relevant to subjects that may be of interest to DCL readers. This area is to help you find books that are not available online because of copyright issues, but may be of use for certain readers. No point in spending money on a book you can not use when there are so many good ones that you could use.
